Taekwondo

TaeKwonDo, a well-rounded martial art that originated in Korea, combines combat and self-defense techniques with sport and exercise. It is one of the most popular and widely practiced martial arts in the world today and has been a part of the Olympic Games since 2000. Training in Taekwondo is an excellent tool for physical fitness and character development for children. Many students have journeyed from beginning white belts to black belts.

Boxing

This class provides a challenging and fun workout while also learning a practical skill that can improve fitness, coordination, self-defense, and self-confidence. Participants are led through a series of boxing drills that may include shadowboxing, heavy bag work, speed bag drills, focus mitt drills, and partner exercises.

Exercise Dance

Zumba

Grooving to the beats of salsa, flamenco, and merengue music feels more like a dance party than a workout, which is precisely what makes Zumba so popular. The Latin-inspired dance workout is among the world’s most popular group exercise classes. Join the fun!

Salsacise

Salsercise is a dance-based aerobic workout led by the sounds of Latin America. It is a great way to learn all the great Latino Salsa dances in a fun, relaxed environment without worrying about a partner. The dance steps are easy to understand, so you can follow along and put some Latin attitude into your hip sway. Using a fun blend of sexy salsa dance moves, you’ll burn the fat, keep fit and tone your body. Feel the rhythm and say ‘adios’ to the usual routine of boring gym workouts!

Cooking nutritious meals can be an essential component of a healthy lifestyle and teaches kids to make fun meals and snacks, leaving them feeling a sense of accomplishment as they create meals. This class incorporates essential life skills such as food safety, kitchen organization, and time management, which can be helpful both in and out of the kitchen.

Gardening for Kids

The importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship is learned best through our hands-on approach! Gardening allows participants to connect with nature, learn about where their food and flowers come from, and develop a sense of responsibility and ownership over their garden. In addition, youth practice patience and therapeutic ways to destress and self-soothe.
